Two departures of our seven-day KwaZulu-Natal expedition are open for 2027, each limited to three guests: 28 June to 4 July, and 12 to 18 July.
After last year’s expedition recorded more than 100 lifers across the group, the KwaZulu-Natal Bird Photography Expedition returns in 2027 with two departures:
- Departure 1: 28 June to 4 July 2027
- Departure 2: 12 to 18 July 2027
The seven-day route runs from Centurion to Benvie Gardens, Mtunzini, Dlinza Forest, Ongoye Forest, St Lucia and Cape Vidal, with two nights each at Benvie Gardens, Mtunzini and St Lucia. That leaves time to work around the weather and the birds, rather than rushing between stops.
Each departure takes a maximum of three guests and costs R22,000 per person, including accommodation, breakfast, transport from Centurion, fuel and tolls, and park and conservation fees. A 50% deposit holds your seat, with the balance due 60 days before departure. Each departure runs once all three seats are booked.
